Many of my blends came into being because of an ask. Tranquil Turtle was developed when a mom asked if I had a blend for her hyperactive child. At the time I did not, but I was intrigued by the challenge and set to doing my research. Tranquil Turtle is my most complex blend with 16 essential oils including vetiver, petitgrain and both chamomiles (German & Roman). While it can help calm hyperactivity, this blend can also help calm states of hyperarousal and assist with emotional regulation.
While there are many contraindications when it comes to essential oils and kids - there are also a whole lot of essential oils that are safe to use with kids - so long as you are mindful of the 'dose' you as the parent give your child. By 'dose' I mean how many drops do you diffuse and for how long are you diffuser. Or how many drops you add to a spray bottle. And if you are diffusing and applying topically - that is considered a 'double-dose'.
