About Us

Boozhoo and welcome!

My name is Lisa June and I received my Certified Aromatherapy Health Professional (CAHP) designation in 2016 and have been a member of the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists (CFA) Research Committee since 2018.

My heritage is Ojibwa, Scottish and Irish - and my kokum is a member of Wabauskang First Nation located in North-Western Ontario; I bring these important cultural influences to my aromatherapy practice.

I currently live & blend in Guelph, Ontario, which is situated on the ancestral homelands of the Anishinaabek Peoples, specifically the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

My logo and name are inspired by my maternal Ojibwa ancestry. 'Turtle' is a family name and the tree represents 'the tree of life' as well as pays tribute to all the natural ingredients that are sourced from our home, earth.  A dear friend, Ana Scerri from Malta, designed the logo.

You as a consumer have a lot of work on your hands when considering which aromatherapy companies to trust. I understand that - it is why I spent over two years studying to become a Certified Aromatherapy Health Professional with the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists

I focus on providing you with pertinent educational and safety information.

My aromatherapy products are:

• Packaged by hand in protective & re-usable blue or amber glass bottles
• Made in Guelph, Canada
• Hand-crafted in small batches to ensure quality & freshness
• Safe and non-toxic
• Gluten-free
• Petroleum-free
• Free of any artificial chemical preservatives and emulsifiers
• Non-toxic, carcinogen-free, pthalate-free
• Made using aromatherapeutic-grade essential oils
• 100% of the total ingredient content is from natural origins

About my jewelry collections:

All of my lava stone pieces are handcrafted in-house. I use stainless steel both for its beauty and durability. I have found that over time essential oils will breakdown the elastic in conventional diffuser bracelets. And because I hate it when my jewelry tarnishes, I have found stainless steel stands the test of time. It may dull but is quickly and easily revived with a jewelry polishing cloth.

At LJ Turtle, I have curated the best and largest selection of aromatherapy diffuser jewelry on Turtle Island, including pendants, bracelets, earrings, brooches and rings.  I specialize in lava stone jewelry which is handcrafted by me in Guelph, Ontario.

With all this selection, I created a special page  that describes how to use the different types of diffuser jewelry we carry.

Environmental Sustainability

As concerns about climate change and environmental degradation continue to be of great concern worldwide, I wanted to let you know that I have been researching viable eco-friendly and compostable packaging. Even the tape we use is plant-based!

I make every effort to minimize our ecological footprint; I do this by reducing as much packaging as possible. Blends come with an information card rather than in a box. The clear sleeves we use are compostable; and the filler we use to  package your order is re-used filler or scraps of paper left from printing the information cards.
