Beaded Jewelry

My grandmother/Kokum taught me to bead, on a homemade loom my grandpa made, a very long time ago. She beaded medallions for the gauntlets and mukluks she made as did my mother. My Kokum is Ojibwe and a member of Wabauskang First Nation in North-Western Ontario.  I identify as as someone with mixed heritage including Ojibwe, Irish and Scottish.

As a way to re-claim this craft, I am re-teaching myself how to bead using both online tutorials as well as in-class zoom workshops.
